This year’s 13th WCSC conference series is themed ‘KL2040: Towards A Liveable Urban Future’ which will focus and explore on how and what proactive steps need to be taken for cities to be a ‘Resilient, Sustainable & Liveable City’ in achieving a better quality of life in the areas of social inclusiveness, affordability, housing, accessibility, mobility, health, education, safety & security, vibrant public spaces and reducing carbon emissions to meet the impacts of global climate change.

Established since 2009, the ‘International Conference on World Class Sustainable Cities (WCSC) annual series aims at providing a constructive and inclusive platform to enlighten, educate, inspire and encourage community engagement among the public & private sectors, as well as community groups and city residents.

Throughout the past twelve (12) WCSC conferences, with the official endorsement and support of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), WCSC has successfully managed to share, educate, enlighten and create greater awareness to City Managers, Residents’ Associations, NGO’s, built-environment industry professionals, academicians and all city stakeholders on the benefits and challenges faced in our aspirations of becoming a World Class City. WCSC has continuously engaged with world renowned experts to showcase some of the best practices and experiences from cities across the world, and to provide an opportunity for conference participants to learn and understand the efforts made within our own nation to make Kuala Lumpur City, a World Class City.

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) is pleased to inform you that the 33rd Architectural Student Workshop 2022 will be held from 21-26 August 2022 at Universiti Teknologi Sarawak (UTS). The theme is “MAKARA” (MA-AK-KA-AH-RA) and inspired by legends, myths, rituals and stories of the past that were long forgotten and lost be it from mythical creatures, historical figures and unknown entity. MAKARA is a sanctuary for the architecture student community, facilitating the diverse ty of thought and knowledge by bringing an very immersive and mesmerizing journey  to the lost culture of Borneo to everyone.

This workshop offers as a haven for the architectural student community, facilitating the diversity of thought and knowledge in order to provide an architectural influence on the community. As the official host, UTS will conduct a workshop that will push the architectural student community to rediscover Borneo architecture by delivering exciting experiences and raising awareness about current architectural concerns.

The Architectural Student Workshop is an event that gathers architectural students from all institutions in Malaysia that serves as a platform to strengthen the bonds among the participants through the sharing of thoughts, perspectives and passion for architecture.

In conjunction with the 33rd Architectural Student Workshop 2022, the PAM School Liaison Panel Meeting 2022 will be held on 22 August 2022, 1.30 PM at Empress Ballroom, Kingwood Hotel, Sibu, Sarawak.

Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) dengan kerjasama Jawatankuasa Reka Bentuk Sejagat dan Alam Bina di bawah Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Orang Kurang Upaya, KAED Universal Design Unit (KUDU), Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia; dan Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI), Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bharu (MBJB) dan Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu akan menganjurkan Bengkel Training Of Trainers (ToT) dan Audit Akses dalam Persekitaran Alam Bina 2022. 

Tujuan bengkel ini diadakan bertujuan untuk mempercepatkan kesedaran dan kefahaman pegawai teknikal terutama Arkitek, Penolong Arkitek, Jurutera, Penolong Jurutera, dan Juruteknik yang ditugaskan untuk menyemak pelan bangunan mendapat gambaran lebih jelas tentang rekabentuk kemudahan untuk OKU.

Bengkel ini akan diadakan di 3 lokasi berasingan mengikut tarikh yang telah ditetapkan seperti berikut:
