Officer for Library Management

Job Scope 

Responsible for managing the Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) Printed & Electronic Resources Units:-

  1. Administering the PAM Printed & Electronic Resources Unit to good running order. This includes planning and goal setting; monitoring and evaluating workflow for quality and quantity of printed and electronic systems and resources.
  2. Compiling and coordinating printed and electronic resources of PAM.
  3. Establish and renew licenses (where necessary), and maintain records for contracts.
  4. Maintain timely, accurate data of the printed and electronic resources in the relevant systems used to enable access to printed and electronic resources by library users and staff.
  5. Monitor and maintain access to the printed and electronic resources and perform routine link checking/resolving. Ensure prompt response to printed and electronic resource access problems reported by library users or staff.
  6. Coordinating the functions of PAM Committees or Sub-Committees the Management deems fit and as directed by the PAM Secretariat Management, including the following:
    1. Calling for meetings of the Committees.
    2. Attendance at meetings and taking notes.
    3. Preparation of Minutes and Reports.
    4. Taking follow-up actions on the Committees' instructions and decisions.
    5. All general correspondence of the Committees.
    6. Project Officer to any Sub-Committee appointed by the Committees
  7. To assist in PAM events and other activities if required.
  8. Administration work for PAM.
  9. Relief work for PAM Secretariat Management.
  10. Support in events for PAM.

and any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Requirement

  1. Bachelor of Information Management & Library Science.
  2. Familiar with KOHA, DSpace system & Wix application.
  3. Minimum of 3 years on cataloguing and processing library resources

Administrative Officer

A subsidiary company of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) is looking for a suitable candidate as an Administrative Officer to carry out the following job scope:

Administer the daily operations of ONLINE AND PHYSICAL TRAINING PROGRAMMES

  • Identify speakers/training facilitators and communicate with speakers and training facilitators pertaining to training materials, schedules, etc.
  • Issuance of Engagement Letter, Billing and Payment Advice.
  • Preparation of flyers and media material for programmes.
  • Marketing and issuance of flyers and media material for programmes.
  • Process registrations and issue zoom link to paid participants, training materials if any, certificate of attendance upon successful completion of programme, etc.
  • Readiness of training rooms and facilities including online facilities and subscription.
  • Preparation of media materials including videos during opening and interval of each programme.
  • Compilation of summary reports including costs and expenses accounts for Programme Evaluations.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Administer the daily operations and other tasks.

  • Organize Board of Directors meetings with the Company Secretary.
  • Discuss with Directors to prepare budget, and resources for annual training programmes.
  • Record minutes of meetings where necessary.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Possess working experience of at least 5 years in organizing seminars, talks and events.
  • Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in any field; a bachelor’s degree in architecture will be given priority.
  • Possess sound analytical, planning and monitoring skills.
  • Resourceful, result-oriented, proactive, and self-driven.
  • Good interpersonal skill and pleasant disposition.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written communications skills.
  • All applicants MUST be conversant in English and computer literate (standard computer software).
  • The job requires working on Saturdays, therefore rest days for the week are Sunday and Monday.
  • Salary shall commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.

Assisting director in liaising with client & consultant, supervising project from schematic design, submission, tender and construction

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a recognised Degree/Master in Architecture equivalent to LAM Part II.
  • Preferably with min 2 years of working experiences.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop and Microsoft Office software
  • Capability in 3D rendering will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Assistant Architect / Architectural Draughtsperson

Petaling Jaya

Job Descriptions:
Assisting architects in schematic design, submission, tender and construction

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Degree equivalent to LAM Part I for Assistant Architect
  • Possess at least a Diploma for Draughtsperson
  • Preferably with 2 years of working experience
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-up software
  • Capability in 3D rendering will be an added advantage.
  • Preferably with strong background in technical requirement
  • Matured, proactive and ability to work independently with focus on task completion and dateline
