This year's 14th WCSC conference series, themed 'Resilient Urbanisation Planning Towards Malaysia MADANI,' will focus on exploring proactive steps required for cities to achieve resilience, sustainability, and livability. The conference aims to address various aspects that contribute to a better quality of life, including social inclusiveness, affordability, housing, accessibility, mobility, health, education, safety, and security. Additionally, the conference will emphasize the importance of vibrant public spaces and strategies for reducing carbon emissions to mitigate the impacts of global climate change.

Established since 2009, the ‘International Conference on World Class Sustainable Cities (WCSC) annual series aims at providing a constructive and inclusive platform to enlighten, educate, inspire and encourage community engagement among the public & private sectors, as well as community groups and city residents.  

Throughout the past thirteen (13) WCSC conferences, with the official endorsement and support of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), WCSC has successfully managed to share, educate, enlighten and create greater awareness to City Managers, Residents’ Associations, NGO’s, built-environment industry professionals, academicians and all city stakeholders on the benefits and challenges faced in our aspirations of becoming a World Class City. WCSC has continuously engaged with world renowned experts to showcase some of the best practices and experiences from cities across the world, and to provide an opportunity for conference participants to learn and understand the efforts made within our own nation to make Kuala Lumpur City, a World Class City.
