Synopsis

The presentation will briefly discuss the Government of India’s present focus on strengthening primary and secondary healthcare services in the country on a priority, particularly, by using technology to bridge the gap. It will address the 12th Plan (Five Year Plan) allocation and proposed methodology to achieve the same and also the need of global support in this context. It will also cover the various methods followed and the Construction models in practice. It will also cover the current trend of EPC (Engineering Procurement & Construction) models i.e.” Design& Build”

The pre Engineer construction being practised and the various PPP (Public Private Partnership ) model, the success stories and the reasons for Healthcare projects invariably getting delayed because of time and cost overrun. and the factors responsible for this?

By this presentation the attendees may witness the benefits of various prevailing construction methodology. It will also demonstrate the fastest construction of 10 storey steel structure built in 48 hrs. in India.

Thus the emphasise will be the recent boom in Healthcare infrastructure in India, the major Government projects its delivery, operation and Maintenance and various safety measures, Green building parameters and infection control measures.

The role of Private sector and its support addressing the influence of global trends in Healthcare facility planning in India.

The Government of India’s important step in setting up “National institute of Healthcare Engineering and Architecture “ to start masters’ programme in Health Facility Planning & Design and Healthcare Engineering and Management, first of its kind in south east Asia.
