Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) is pleased to announce the launch of the PAM Education Research Grant 2025 (PERG), an initiative designed to support research-driven architectural solutions and foster collaborative networks between practitioners and academia.
This grant, with a total allocation of up to RM15,000, will be awarded for research projects aligned with key priority areas including Safe and Affordable Housing, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and Culture, Heritage and Identity.
Open to full-time academic staff from Malaysian architecture schools, the grant supports a 12-month research period and requires outputs such as a research summary, two Scopus-indexed publications and a presentation at a PAM Academic Discourse.
The application period is now open with submissions due by 24 November 2025 and the successful grantees will be announced on 22 December 2025. We encourage all eligible academics to apply and contribute to advancing architectural education and practice in Malaysia.
