Government Liaison Committee, July 2004

1.0 CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS ISSUE (CF)

There was a meeting on 01 July 2004 between PAM, REHDA, MPSJ and MPKJ discussed on the issue related to CF. Followed with another meeting held on 08 July 2004, discussed on the process involved. In connection with CFO, it is suggested to look at overseas models such as in UK and Australia.

A meeting with MHLG was held on 13 July 2004 to discuss on current issue of CF including the public perception if Architect is responsible to certify from design to handing over.

Dato' Hisham Albakri suggested to set a standard procedure for all architects so that they know how to go about the process of certification.

The Government enquired whether the Architect is ready to take the responsibility. PAM's stand is to support the government proposal and would like to make it work.

2.0 SESSION WITH PIHAK BERKUASA TEMPATAN (PBT)
