In line with PAM President and Council's aims to strengthen the architectural profession, the International Affairs Committee is committed to the following:

1 Mission Statement - To promote the advancement of architecture and the architectural profession for the betterment of society.
       
2 Strategy - Capacity Building
    - To promote and encourage PAM Members to export their services and seek work overseas.
       
3 Scope of Works - To promote, coordinate and facilitate networking among local exporters and overseas clients by working closely with MATRADE, MITI, PSDC and other related agencies to develop a platform for export of services.
    - To participate in WTOs / FTA / MRA discussions / meetings.
    - To participate in NAPSEC, PSDC and MATRADE on export of services and capacity building.
    - To pursue the formation of the ASEAN Council of Architects (ACA)
    - To represent PAM on events and activities organised by international associations, such as UIA, APEC, AFAS, CAA etc.
    - To collect the database of members who export architectural consultancy services (so as to be able to disseminate information on projects overseas to them in the event we receive information on projects overseas).
       
4 Details - Responsible for monitoring:
      a) PAM's Membership and participation in international architectural organisations such as:
     

1. UIA - International Union of Architects

2. ARCASIA - Architects Regional Council of Asia

3. APEC Architect Project

      b) Bilateral relationships with other architectural institutes such as SIA, RAIA, RIBA, AIA, etc.
      c) Relationships with other international organisations including NGO's such as UNESCO, WTO and UNDPC.
      d) Other international programmes or project activities (eg: Cityscape Exhibition in Dubai, MATRADE's annual Malaysian Services Exhibition).
       
5 Date of Meeting - Committee members will be notified.
