Synopsis

Architecture and Its Expectations - A Benchmark.

From time immemorial, Architecture has been used as a medium to rate a city or a country. It has always affected the mood of the country;, it is used to measure its maturity, its thinking and almost always affects the way its current and future generations will live. It leaves lingering thoughts in our mind that we carry when we are asked to describe the buildings and the character of the city or country. Almost always, it is subject to much criticism.

Architecture is about ideas and trends. It is often being pushed to better the design of other architects or to produce a latest design that will change the way we live. It affects almost all of our senses. The designs we create or are asked to design can be good, or it can go very wrong. Often, if it works, it will be copied or used as a bench mark for many designs to come.

Now, architecture is often associated with ‘Branding’.

In many instances, the designs many not be appreciated or revered, especially if the architect is not favored or nor a well-known person.. The synopsis of this talk is to address and break such perception barriers, and moving forward on a more positive note, to nurture our architects as being as good as or even better than others, that are foreign.
