OBJECTIVE
1. To coordinate, facilitate and advance the pursuit of excellence in architectural education in Malaysian istitutions

2. To prepare and educate the future architects (student/ graduate members of PAM) in preparing for professional practice and the building industry.

3. To coordinate and facilitate matters relating to architectural education with local, regional and international arena and updates

STRATEGY
To direct PAM resources on projects and programmes to upgrade core competency, skills, knowledge and professionalism of members in areas including design, project management, contract management, design build and development in order to remain relevant and competitive locally and globally.

STRATEGIC ACTION PLANS

1. To optimise PEF to help achieve education excellence: PAM Awards, PAM Travel Awards, PAM/ ARCASIA subsidy, Scholarship/ Study Grants

2. Explore synergies between practice and academia: School Liaison committee, joint academic journal, sharing experiences, niche areas, CPD talks

3. Prepare PAM Student / Graduate members towards professional career building industry by lecture series and tutorial, and LAM Part lll

SCOPE OF WORKS

1. PAM School Liaison Quarterly meetings
i. updates on currriculum, accreditation, studentmembers
ii. joint academic journal
iii. Annual Student Workshop / Jamboree
iv. University / School exhibition
v. Awards – PAM, Travel, Study Grants, Research, CIDB, Johnson Suisse
vi. Strategic emphasis on professional practice – Project Management, Economics, Tropical / Nusantara / Islamic architectural niche

2. Part lll Lecture Series & Tutorial
i. Review syllabus with LAM
ii. Organise lcetures and tutorials

3. Roadshow – UiTM, UTM, USM
i. Introducing PAM to academia, history & role of PAM
ii. Student / Graduate membership drive
