Under the terms of the Constitution and Bye-laws of the Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia, graduates who have obtained the appropriate qualifications from the following schools of Architecture are deemed to have passed Part I and II of the PAM examinations in Architecture.

NOTES

  1. Graduates who have obtained the PAM Part I and Part II Examinations and have acquired the necessary period of practical experience would become eligible to sit for the LAM-PAM Part 3 Professional Practice and Practical Experience Examination.

    Having satisfied the compulsory practical experience as prescribed in the Architects Act 1967 (Revised 1973) and on passing the Part 3 Examination, they will become eligible for consideration for Corporate membership of PAM and registration with the Board of Architects Malaysia as an Architect.
  1. Subsequent to the implementation of the Architects Act 1967 (Revised 1973) PAM finalised its list of recognised schools. The list has been revised as follows:
Revision I on 28.2.1974 updated on 1.7.1975
updated on 31.1.1980 - The updating corrected any changes in the names of schools, their addresses
A new format has been used
Revision II on 16.1.1981 Approved on this date by the Council of Architectural Education Malaysia and retified by the Board of Architects Malaysia
Revision III on 30.8.1981 Three schools of Architecture were added to the list
Revision IV on 1.5.1983 One school of Architecture was added to the list on 30.9.1982
A new format has been used
Revision V on 1.10.1984 One school of Architecture was added to the list on 26.6.1984 (Poly South Bank UK)
Revision VI on 1.5.1986 Added one school of Architecture to the list on 28.3.1986 (Huddersfield Poly UK)
Deleted one school of Architecture from the list on 28.3.1986 (U of Bristol UK)
Updated changes in the names of schools and their addresses and the qualifications awarded
Revision VII on 20.5.1991 Added one school of Architecture to the list on 20.9.1990 (USM)
Updated recognition level to PT II for Dip Arch course of Thames Polytechnic on 16.5.1991
Updated change in the name of school on 4.6.91 (Kent Institute of Art & Design: Canterbury College)
Revision VIII on 24.2.1993 Updated changes of 'Polytechnics' to 'Universities' as per list obtained from British Council
Revision IX 1995 M Arch degree superseded B Arch degree for the University of Hong Kong since 1992
